About the role

Do you: Have a passion to drive Continuous Improvement within the fields of our Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) teams? The ability to influence positive change through collaboration and teamwork? Want to join a team focused on operational excellence, leadership and continuous improvement? West Australian Iron Ore Non Processing Infrastructure (NPI) is seeking a driven Continuous Improvement Lead to unlock value and reduce waste.

The core focus of the Continuous Improvement Lead is to provide support via coaching, mentoring and facilitation across our West Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) NPI operations by leading communications across all levels to seek, identify and facilitate rapid replication of improvement opportunities.

You need to be able to utilise your superior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with key leadership and operations teams to ensure the team is set up for success with improvement mindsets, methodology and tools within a proactive manner that facilitates a seamless safe delivery of end to end projects.

This role has a majority of site based stakeholders and involves regular interactions at all camps and aviation facilities in the Pilbara, as such travel is required. This position will be a Perth based role with site based travel required.

About you

We are seeking an individual that will thrive on identifying and acting on opportunity and is passionate about continuous improvement in the Infrastructure and Utilities assets in unlocking value and reducing waste.                                                                                                                                                        

You will have the capability to engage and build key relationships with various stakeholder groups, collaborate with and influence senior leaders whilst motivating a team of professionals who are passionate about what they do. Your ability to continuously improve (processes, methodologies and systems), engage with your team and others, leverage off your strong communication skills and commercial acumen will see you succeed in this challenging role.

You will be highly driven and possess a Degree Qualification (or equivalent industry/organisation experience) with significant experience in Mining/Infrastructure and Utility services. Diverse and strong experience in portfolio and project management background with analytical, synthesis skills viewed favourably.

You will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and able to use your relationship building and influencing skills in order to deliver positive business outcomes.
